I’m still working on the redesign. It is not finished yet and it will take some more time.

Why?

Because I recently switched jobs and it really takes a lot of energy. But I love it , it’s my first job as a webmaster.

I’m working on the website of eurofins.com and I am going to convert everything to valid xhtml with semantic markup and stylesheets.
This time I need to learn Visual Basic and ASP because they are running IIS.

I thought it would not be a real problem. However, documentation from microsoft is really, really bad, compared to the documantation of PHP or even to the specs from W3.

The design for the eurofins.com site needs to fit both local company needs and corporate needs. The design should work for the .de, .fr and other domains.
To get this working without to much maintenance problems, I needed a templating system.
And I found one: asptemplate.
Really easy, I created a structure in a couple of hours with this class. Nice job.

And now the answers.
Switching to English or Dutch? I provided the answer with the question wich I wrote down in English. The audience for the subjects of this blog is too small, nobody is listenting.
And you are reading this right now, so I think I ‘m still blogging.

to Blog or not to Blog

That is a serieus question.
To Blog in English or in Dutch, that’s another question.

About

My name is Len Dierickx and this is my personal blog. I studied Musicology at the UG, long time ago but got more and more into webdevelopment. I started this blog because the EuroIA summit in Brussels (Belgium, Oct 2005), was such an inspiration. And I was thinking about a blog on IA a while now, so that was the extra kick I needed to get it actually done.
